
Debbie Matenopoulos
Debbie Matenopoulos is a television host and journalist best known as an original co-host of The View. Matenopoulos attended Virginia Commonwealth University before transferring to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in journalism. While in college, she interned at MTV, which helped launch her media career.
Matenopoulos was selected at age 22 to join The View when it premiered in 1997, making her the youngest co-host on the panel. After leaving the show in 1999, she served as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and later became a host on The Insider. She went on to host Good Day Live, served as a red carpet correspondent for E! and co-hosted Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family from 2014 to 2021. She has also made guest appearances on shows such as The Talk and Inside Edition.
In 2014, she authored the cookbook It’s All Greek to Me.
Matenopoulos was married to Jay Faires, president of Music at Lionsgate and founder of Mammoth Records, from 2003 until their divorce in 2009. She remarried in 2013 to Jon Falcone, and the pair welcomed their daughter, Alexandra, in 2014.
