Dove Cameron

Dove Cameron rose to fame on Disney Channel, starring as both Liv and Maddie Rooney on Liv and Maddie (2013-2017), a role that earned her a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Program. She began performing in community theater as a child and continued to pursue acting after moving to Los Angeles at age 14.

Cameron furthered her Disney Channel success by playing Mal, the daughter of Maleficent in the Descendants franchise (2015-2019). Following her Disney career, she transitioned into more adult TV roles, starring in Hairspray Live!, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Schmigadoon.

She released several singles related to her Disney Channel projects music, releasing singles like the viral hit “Boyfriend,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100, and her 2023 EP, Alchemical: Volume 1. She won Best New Artist at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

Cameron was engaged to Liv & Maddie costar Ryan McCartan from 2013 and they split in 2016 after a six-month engagement. She dated Descendants 2 costar Thomas Doherty from 2017 to 2020. In early 2024, she began dating Damiano David, the frontman of Italian rock band Måneskin, with the couple making their relationship public at the Pre-Grammy Gala in February 2024. They announced their engagement in January 2025.
