Born in London, actress Gemma Chan rose to fame starring in the likes of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017).

She went on to star as Astrid Leong-Teo in 2018’s Crazy Rich Asians blockbuster before landing roles in Marvel’s Captain Marvel (2019) and Eternals (2021). She is also featured in the upcoming Harry Styles/Florence Pugh film Don’t Worry Darling, as well as 2021’s Raya and the Last Dragon and episodes of Humans.

Chan dated comedian Jack Whitehall between 2011 and 2017. Nearly one year later, she moved on with actor Dominic Cooper.
