Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh was born in Oxford, England, on January 3, 1996, to restaurateur Clinton Pugh and dance teacher Deborah Pugh. Florence suffered from tracheomalacia as a child and her family moved to Sotogrande, Spain, when she was 3 years old to improve her health. At age 6, Florence moved back to Oxford, where she developed a love for drama while portraying Mary in a school nativity play.

Florence made her professional acting debut in the 2014 mystery drama The Falling alongside Maisie Williams. In 2015, she starred in the drama Lady Macbeth, which earned her a British Independent Film Award in 2017 and a nomination for BAFTA’s Rising Star Award in 2018.

Florence’s other notable roles include the 2019’s Fighting With My Family and drama Little Women. She also gained critical acclaim for her portrayal of Dani in the 2019 horror film Midsommar. She joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Yelena Belova in 2021’s Black Widow and she also joined Dune film series in 2024 as Princess Ireland. Additionally, Florence had a memorable role in the 2024 Best Picture Oscar winner Oppenheimer.

Florence began dating actor Zach Braff in 2019 after meeting on the set of his short film In The Time It Takes To Get There. They split in 2023. She was later rumored to be dating actor Finn Cole in 2024.
