Halle Bailey

Halle Bailey is a singer and actress known for being one half of Chloe x Halle and for starring in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid. Halle spent her childhood in Mableton, Georgia, where she and sister Chloe Bailey grew up learning to write music and self-taught themselves instruments including guitar. She was homeschooled and began posting song covers on YouTube with Chloe, and the pair quickly gained a following online, later relocating to Los Angeles to further pursue careers in entertainment.

She began booking minor television and film roles, including an appearance with Chloe in the 2012 Disney movie Let It Shine. After signing with Parkwood Entertainment, Halle rose to fame as part of the duo Chloe x Halle. The pair released their debut album, Sugar Symphony, in 2016, going on to open for Beyoncé’s Formation tour that same year. Follow-up projects like The Kids Are Alright (2018) and Ungodly Hour (2020) earned the pair multiple Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Halle expanded into acting with a recurring role on Grown-ish before landing the lead role in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid in 2023. She has also released solo music, including singles such as “Angel.”

The singer has been romantically linked to rapper DDG. The pair welcomed their first child, son Halo, in 2023 before splitting in 2024. She later sparked dating rumors with Scott Bridgeway, but she neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
