Jack Wagner secured his first acting role in the 1982 soap opera, A New Day in Eden. Wagner then landed his breakthrough role as Frisco Jones in General Hospital from 1984 to 1991, earning him a Daytime Emmy Nomination for Best Younger Actor. He reprised his role as Frisco in 1994, 1995 and 2013. Following his time on General Hospital, Wanger appeared as Warren Lockridge on Santa Barbara from 1991 to 1993 before landing the role of Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place from 1994 to 1999. From 2003 to 2012, Wagner starred as Nick Marone in The Bold and the Beautiful, which earned him another Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Actor. Since 2014, Wagner has been starring as Bill Avery on Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart.

Jack was married to Kristina Wagner, his General Hospital love interest, from 1993 to 2006. The pair welcomed sons Peter and Harrison in 1990 and 1994. (In 2022, Harrison died of an accidental drug overdose at the age of 27.) Following his divorce from Kristina, Jack moved on with his Melrose Place love interest, Heather Locklear, from 2007 to 2011 and his The Bold and the Beautiful costar Ashley Jones from 2013 to 2015. In 2011, Jack adopted his daughter Kerry when she was 23.
