Jenna Elfman is an Golden Globe-winning actress best known for playing the titular character on ABC’s Dharma & Greg. Elfman was raised in California and studied ballet in her childhood. She briefly attended California State University Northridge but later dropped out to pursue a career in Hollywood.

The actress got her start as a dancer, appearing in a handful of music videos before being cast in commercials. She made her film debut in the TV movie Double Deception, and she later starred on shows like NYPD Blue and Murder One. A few years later, Elfman signed on to the sitcom Dharma & Greg as Dharma Montgomery. She remained with the show from 1997 until its end in 2002, and she was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy in 1999 for the role.

Elfman went on to make multiple film appearances, starring alongside Ben Stiller in the rom-com Keeping the Faith and later starring in Love Hurts (2009) and Friends with Benefits (2011).

Some of her later works include one-season sitcoms such as Accidentally on Purpose and Growing Up Fisher. She switched to a dramatic role from 2018 to 2023, when she played June Dorie on AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. In 2025, she made her return to multi-camera comedy on ABC’s sitcom Shifting Gears.

The actress wed husband Bodhi Elfman in 1995, and the couple share sons Story Elias (born in 2007) and Easton Quinn Monroe (born in 2010).
