Jimmie Allen

Born in Delaware, Jimmie Allen left home to chase his dreams at age 22. He moved to Nashville in the hopes of becoming a country star but struggled and even lived out of his car. He got his big break when he auditioned for the 10th season of American Idol. Though he was cut before live voting, he befriended winner Scotty McCreery, who later invited Allen to tour with him.

Allen signed to Broken Bow Records’ Stoney Creek imprint in 2017 and released his first self-titled EP. He dropped his first single “Best Shot” the following year ahead of his debut album, Mercury Lane. “Best Shot” and his follow-up single, “Make Me Want To,” were both certified platinum.

He toured with Brad Paisley as an opening act after his second album, Bettie James Gold Edition dropped, and he headlined his own series of concerts in 2022 to support his third album, Tulip Drive. He later joined Carrie Underwood on The Denim & Rhinestones Tour in 2022 and 2023.

Allen is also a father. He welcomed son Aadyn in 2015 with a previous partner. He met Alexis Gale in 2019, and the duo welcomed daughter Naomi in March 2020. They tied the knot in May 2021 and welcomed another baby girl, Zara, the following October. Allen announced his separation in April 2023. He revealed they had a third child on the way in the same statement.

“After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate,” he told Us Weekly at the time. “As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year.”

The message continued: “Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved, and we remain committed to coparenting with love and respect for one another. In light [of] our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time.”
