About

Brad Paisley is a Grammy-winning country music singer, songwriter and guitarist. Born in Glen Dale, West Virginia, Paisley began playing guitar at age 8 and wrote his first song by 13. He studied at West Liberty State College before transferring to Belmont University in Nashville, where he earned a degree in music business in 1995.

Paisley signed with Arista Nashville in 1999 and released his debut album, Who Needs Pictures, which produced two No. 1 singles. His early success earned him the Country Music Association’s Horizon Award the following year. Over the next decade, he became one of country music’s leading hitmakers, known for his guitar work and heartfelt ballads.

His catalog includes chart-topping albums like Mud on the Tires (2003), Time Well Wasted (2005), American Saturday Night (2009) and Love and War (2017). Throughout his career, he has received over 15 Grammy Award nominations as well as numerous CMA Awards and ACM Awards. He has also cohosted the CMA Awards alongside Carrie Underwood.

Paisley married actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley in 2003. They share two sons, William Huckleberry (born in 2007) and Jasper Warren (born in 2009).
