Megan Mullally

Megan Mullally is an Emmy-winning actress best known for her role on NBC’s Will & Grace. Mullally studied ballet as a child and went on to attend Northwestern University where she majored in English literature. While in college, she also performed in local theater productions, and she later dropped out of school to pursue acting full time.

The actress made her first on screen appearance in the 1981 TV movie The Children Nobody Wanted. She later landed multiple minor roles on sitcoms such as Herman’s Head, Seinfeld and Frasier. In 1998, Mullally got her big break after signing on to play Karen Walker on Will & Grace. She remained with the cast until the sitcom’s initial end in 2006 and returned for the revival from 2017 to 2020, and she won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series twice for the role.

From 2006 to 2007, the Emmy-winner hosted her own talk show titled The Megan Mullally Show. Mullally has starred on shows such as The Umbrella Academy and Parks and Recreation, in which she acted alongside husband Nick Offerman. She has also lent her voice to numerous animated series, including Bob’s Burgers and The Simpsons. She’s also been featured in films such as Why Him? (2016) and Summering (2022).

From 1982 to 1987, the actress was wed to James Thomas Hines. Following their split, she married talent agent Michael Katcher, and they were together from 1992 to 1996. Mullally met Offerman while participating in a theater production in Chicago in 2000, and the pair tied the knot three years later.
