Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson is a professional boxer widely regarded as one of the greatest to ever step into the ring. Known for his fighting style and power, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at the age of 20, a record he still holds today. His early career was marked by a series of dominant victories, and by 1986, he had become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Tyson’s career includes a series of unforgettable moments, from his 91-second knockout of Michael Spinks to his controversial ear-biting incident during his 1997 fight with Evander Holyfield. Despite facing personal and legal challenges, Tyson continued to compete at the highest levels, with notable bouts against Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno and others.

Beyond the ring, the athlete has found himself at the center of several legal battles. After he was found guilty on one count of rape and two counts of criminal deviate conduct in 1992, Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison. He served three and was released in March 1995 but returned to prison for more than three months in 1998 after pleading no contest to assaulting two drivers.

Tyson married actress Robin Givens in 1988, and the actress filed for divorce, citing spousal abuse, the following year.

Tyson welcomed his eldest child, daughter Michael “Miki” Lorna, with Kimberly Scarborough in July 1990.

He was married to Monica Turner from 1997 to 2003. She cited adultery as her reason for divorce. He and Turner share son Amir (born August 1997) and nonbinary child Ramsey (born February 1996).

Tyson later got together with  Sol Xochitl, and they welcomed son Miguel (born April 2002) and their late daughter Exodus (born March 2005), who died at age 4 after her neck was tangled in a treadmill cord.

One month after his daughter’s 2009 death, Tyson married Lakiha Spicer. They share daughter Milan (born December 2008) and son Morocco (born January 2011).

In recent years, Tyson has reinvented himself as an entrepreneur, actor, and host of the “Hotboxin’” podcast.
