Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria and moved to the United States at 21 years old to pursue a career in bodybuilding. He won his first Mr. Olympia title in 1970 and later transitioned to acting with his first role in 1970’s Hercules in New York. Schwarzenegger earned the Golden Globe Award for New Star Of The Year – Actor in 1977 for Stay Hungry and starred in Conan the Barbarian (1982) before landing the titular role in The Terminator (1984), a role he reprised five more times.

Schwarzenegger was the elected governor of California from 2003 to 2011. During his 2003 campaign, multiple allegations of sexual and personal misconduct were raised against the Austrian actor. (He denied the accusations at the time before revisiting the topic in the 2023 Netflix docuseries Arnold.)

Schwarzenegger was previously married to Maria Shriver from 1986 until their 2011 separation, which occurred after it was revealed that he fathered a son named Joseph with housekeeper Mildred Baena 14 years prior. Schwarzenegger and Shriver share four children: Katherine (born in 1989), Christina (1991), Patrick (1993) and Christopher (1997). Their divorce was finalized in 2021.

Shriver filed for divorce in 2011 after 25 years of marriage shortly after Schwarzenegger confessed that he had fathered a child with their housekeeper, Mildred Baena.
