Perez Hilton

Perez Hilton (born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr.) is a blogger, media personality and television figure known for his celebrity gossip website PerezHilton.com. Hilton was born and raised in Miami, Florida, in a Cuban American family. He attended New York University, where he studied drama, originally pursuing a career in acting before shifting his focus to media and online content.

Hilton launched his blog in the early 2000s, gaining rapid attention for his unfiltered commentary on celebrities and pop culture. By the mid-2000s, the site became one of the most visited gossip platforms, frequently breaking entertainment news and shaping online celebrity coverage. His rise coincided with the growth of digital media, and he became a recognizable figure beyond his website, making appearances on shows including The View, America’s Next Top Model, and Celebrity Big Brother.
