Sheryl Crow
Songwriter Sheryl Suzanne Crow was born on February 11, 1962 in Kennett, Miss. After struggling for years to find her musical niche, Crow saw success with the singles “All I Wanna Do” and “Strong Enough,” which won her Grammy awards for Best New Artist, Best Female Rock Vocal, and Record of the Year in 1995.
In February 2006, Crow was diagnosed with breast cancer and her five month engagement to renowned cyclist Lance Armstrong ended. Crow survived both the cancer and her breakup and adopted a baby boy, Wyatt Steven, in April 2007. Three years later, Crow announced that she had adopted another boy, named Levi James.
Crow has been named one of VH1’s 100 Sexiest Artists and has sold more than 25 million albums during her career.
