Slade Smiley

Slade Smiley is a television personality best known for appearing on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County. Smiley was raised in Anchorage, Alaska before relocating to Southern California. He attended California State University, Long Beach where he earned a degree in international business. He also pursued a career in modeling and commercial work before moving into reality television.

Smiley began his career in entertainment with minor modeling and acting roles. He gained public attention in 2006 as an original cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County, appearing alongside then-fiancée Jo De La Rosa. He later returned to the series during its fifth season and made appearances on Date My Ex: Jo & Slade in 2008.

He became further known for his relationship with RHOC cast member Gretchen Rossi, with whom he later appeared on multiple seasons of the show. Smiley remained a recurring figure in the Bravo reality TV world. Outside of television, he has been involved in various business ventures and charity work.

Smiley was previously engaged to La Rosa, but the two split in 2007. He began his relationship with Rossi in 2009. The couple got engaged in 2013 and welcomed daughter Skylar Gray in 2019. He also has two sons from previous relationships, including Grayson Smiley (born in 2000), who passed away at age 22 following a battle with brain cancer.
