Stevie Nicks

Stevie Nicks is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and a member of the group Fleetwood Mac. She moved around frequently as a child due to her father’s career and, after settling in California during high school, she met her future partner, on and off the stage, band member Lindsey Buckingham.

Nicks first began her musical career with Buckingham as a duet, joining Fleetwood Mac in 1974 alongside members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie. She participated in the group’s 1975 eponymous album and the group began to see mainstream success shortly after its release.

The singer went on to contribute to group releases, including 1977’s Rumours, which won them a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and featured the hit single “Dreams.” She went on to explore a solo career during her time with the group, releasing her debut solo project Bella Donna in 1981. She remained a member of Fleetwood Mac until 1990 and announced a hiatus that lasted seven years.

Nicks reunited with the group in 1997 to record The Dance before embarking on a reunion tour. The release earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Album. Over the years, she has been nominated for over 15 Grammys and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998.

Nicks dated Buckingham from 1972 to 1976. Throughout her career, the singer has been romantically linked to a number of other public figures, including Fleetwood, Don Henley, Jimmy Iovine and Joe Walsh. She wed Kim Anderson in 1983, but the pair separated after just a few months.
