#Trending! The 2015 Emmys, held in L.A. on Sunday, Sept. 20, brought out TV’s most fashionable ladies. (Hello, Kerry Washington!) So naturally, they introduced Us to a few fab style trends we can’t stop gushing about.
From bold hues to gorgeously embellished frocks, to crisp tuxedoes on the ladies, click through to see the top five trends on the Emmys red carpet!
Sunshine Yellow
The happiest color hit the red carpet! Taylor Schilling donned the glowing hue in a Stella McCartney dress, as did Mindy Kaling in Salvador Perez, Heidi Klum in her sheer Versace dress, and Padma Lakshmi, who stunned in a Romona Keveza gown with a sweetheart neckline.
Off-the-Shoulder
Cold shoulder? Not from these ladies. Nominee Sarah Paulson tried the off-the-shoulder trend in her custom Prabal Gurung dress, Sarah Hyland rocked it with her oxblood Zac Posen stunner, and Kiernan Shipka worked the neckline in her peplum top, which she teamed with cigarette pants, both by Dior Haute Couture.
Heavy Embellishments
Shine, baby, shine! Washington, 38, lead the pack of ladies in heavily embellished dresses by wearing a fresh-off-the-runway Marc Jacobs dress. (Seriously, it made its debut at New York Fashion Week just three days before!) Naomi Watts (in Dior Haute Couture) and Christina Hendricks (in Naeem Khan) also went for over-the-top accents.
Hot-Pink
Sizzling! Elisabeth Moss celebrated her seventh Emmy nomination by wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress in the eye-popping shade. Christine Baranski (in Zac Posen) and Samira Wiley (in a caped, one-shoulder Jill Stuart design) also modeled the ultra-femme color.
Asymmetrical Necklines
One-sleeve party! Veep winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus stunned, per usual, in a one-shoulder Safiyaa crepe gown (teamed with dozens of carats of Chopard diamonds). But she wasn’t alone! No less than six ladies worked the asymmetrical neckline, including Lady Gaga in an elegant Brandon Maxwell dress with a rosebud detail on the hip and Nazanin Boniadi in a white, one-sleeved Stephane Rolland beauty.
Ladies in Tuxes
You looked great, Jon Hamm, but these gals really hit it out of the park in their crisp separates! While nominee Tatiana Maslany sported a plunging smoking jacket and matching pants by Bouchra Jarrar Paris, Lisa Kudrow chose a velvet Max Mara tux, and Jane Lynch worked a black and white suit, finished with a statement diamond necklace.
