Ali Larter

Ali Larter is an actress and former model best known for her roles in Heroes, Final Destination and the Resident Evil franchise. Larter was born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, where she attended Cherry Hill High School West. At age 13, she was discovered by a modeling scout at a mall and later signed with Ford Models. She spent her teenage years traveling and working internationally, including a brief stint living in Japan.

She transitioned from modeling to acting in the mid-1990s, gaining early attention with a fictionalized Esquire magazine spread that portrayed her as imaginary actress Allegra Coleman. She landed her first television role in 1997 on Suddenly Susan before making her film debut in 1999’s Varsity Blues. Her breakout came with the 2000 horror hit Final Destination, which established her as a rising star in Hollywood.

Larter went on to appear in films like Legally Blonde (2001) and Final Destination 2 (2003). She joined the Resident Evil franchise as Claire Redfield, including Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016). She later earned widespread recognition for playing dual roles as Niki Sanders and Tracy Strauss on NBC’s fantasy drama Heroes, which ran from 2006 to 2010. She later appeared in shows such as Pitch, Legends and The Rookie. In 2024, she joined the cast of the Paramount+ western drama Landman as Angela Norris, sharing the screen with Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore.

Larter married actor Hayes MacArthur in 2009. The couple share two children, son Theodore Hayes MacArthur (born in 2010) and daughter Vivienne Margaret MacArthur (born in 2015).
