Actress Ashley Judd is the youngest daughter of late country musician Naomi Judd, who has gone on to have a successful acting career in films, including Kiss the Girls and Double Jeopardy.

Judd, who was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2004 for her role in De-Lovely, has also appeared in Where the Heart Is (2000), Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002), Olympus Has Fallen (2013), the Divergent trilogy and She Said (2022).

She has also appeared on many TV shows, scoring Emmy nominations in 1996 and 2012 for the Emmy miniseries Norma Jean & Marilyn and Missing, respectively. She also starred on the TV show Berlin Station from 2017 to 2019 as well as the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks.

Judd married NASCAR driver Dario Franchitti in December 2001. They divorced in 2013 after 11 years of marriage.

The actress is an advocate for many humanitarian and political causes and is an UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador.

Ashley and her sister, singer Wynonna Judd, announced in April 2022 that Naomi had died by suicide at the age of 76.
