About

Bad Bunny (Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) is a Grammy-winning rapper and singer known for his genre-blending Latin trap and pop hits. He was born and raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, where he began uploading music to SoundCloud while studying audiovisual communication at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo.

He gained recognition in 2016 with the track “Diles,” which led to a record deal with DJ Luian’s label. He later collaborated with artists including Cardi B, J Balvin and Drake, which helped launch him into the mainstream. His 2018 debut album, X 100PRE, received critical acclaim and commercial success. He followed with Billboard-charting albums YHLQMDLG (2020), El Último Tour del Mundo (2020) and Un Verano Sin Ti (2022). He was awarded his first Grammy in 2021 for Best Latin Pop Album and later earned two Grammys for Best Urban Music Album in 2022 and 2023. He has also won multiple Billboard Music Awards and was named Spotify’s most-streamed artist globally three years in a row.

Bad Bunny made his acting debut in Bullet Train (2022) alongside Brad Pitt, and he later starred in Cassandro (2023), Happy Gilmore 2 (2023) and Caught Stealing (2025). He has also appeared in WWE events, and in 2023, he headlined Coachella. In 2025, he was announced as the Super Bowl LX halftime show headliner.

He dated jewelry designer Gabriela Berlingeri from 2017 until their reported breakup in 2022. He was later linked to Kendall Jenner, but the pair went their separate ways in 2024.
