Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars (born Peter Gene Hernandez) is a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer known for chart-topping pop, R&B and funk hits. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mars was raised in a musical family and began performing as a child. He grew up fronting his family band, The Love Notes, and became known locally for his Elvis Presley impersonations. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career.

Mars found early success behind the scenes as part of the production team The Smeezingtons. He cowrote hits including Flo Rida’s “Right Round,” CeeLo Green’s “F*** You” and K’naan’s “Wavin’ Flag.” His profile rose after appearing on B.o.B’s “Nothin’ on You” and Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire,” leading to his breakthrough as a solo artist.

He released his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, in 2010, which spawned hits including “Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade.” His follow-up releases Unorthodox Jukebox (2012) and 24K Magic (2016) cemented his superstar status. Throughout his career, Mars has won 16 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for 24K Magic. In 2021, he teamed up with Anderson .Paak as Silk Sonic and released the album An Evening With Silk Sonic.

Mars dated model Jessica Caban for more than a decade after meeting her in 2011. After the couple sparked split rumors in 2024, Caban seemingly confirmed their breakup via Instagram in January 2025.
