Barry Watson

Barry Watson (born Michael Barrett Watson) is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Matt Camden on the television series 7th Heaven.​ Watson spent his childhood in Dallas, Texas, and at 15 he moved to Burbank, California, where he landed a role on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. He returned to Texas to complete his education, graduating from Richardson High School in 1992.

After high school, Watson moved back to Los Angeles to audition for roles. He made guest appearances on shows like Baywatch and Sister, Sister before landing a minor role on the Aaron Spelling series Malibu Shores. This opportunity led to his breakout role as Matt Camden on 7th Heaven, which brought him significant recognition. He was a regular on the show until its sixth season due to a cancer diagnosis. He later became a guest star of the show until season 10.

Beyond 7th Heaven, Watson starred in films such as Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999), Sorority Boys (2002) and Boogeyman (2005). He later played lead roles in television series including What About Brian and Samantha Who?. In 2021, he starred in the film Highway to Heaven.

Watson married Laura Payne-Gabriel in 1997, and the pair split in 2002. He later wed Extreme Makeover: Home Edition star Tracy Hutson in 2006, and the couple divorced in 2011. They share sons Oliver (born in 2005) and Felix (born in 2007). In 2014, Watson tied the knot with actress Natasha Gregson Wagner, daughter of Natalie Wood. The couple share a daughter, Clover Clementyne, born in 2012.
