Brooks Laich is a former NHL forward who was originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2001 and later traded to the Washington Capitals. Laich went on to play for the Kloten Flyers of Switzerland’s National League from 2012 to 2013, the Toronto Marlies from 2015 to 2016 and the Los Angeles Kings from 2017 to 2018. Laich formally announced his retirement from hockey in 2021.

Laich married Julianne Hough in 2017, splitting in May 2020. Following a brief reconciliation, Hough filed for divorce in November of that year, and their divorce was finalized in 2022. Laich started dating Icelandic athlete Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir in 2021.
