Ryan Sutter
About
Born in Colorado, Ryan Sutter attended The University of Colorado Boulder, where he played football. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round in 1998 before signing with the Carolina Panthers the same season. After suffering an injury, Sutter signed with the Seattle Seahawks before playing one season for the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe in 2000. He was invited to tryout with the New Orleans Saints in 2005, but suffered another injury.
Sutter appeared as a contestant on season 1 of The Bachelorette. He ultimately got engaged to Trista Sutter, whom he married in December 2003. Their nuptials were featured on a three-part special on ABC. Ryan and Trista welcomed son Maxwell in July 2007 and daughter Blakesley in April 2009. Ryan also appeared on season 9 of American Ninja Warrior in Denver, which aired in 2017.
