Kate Upton

Model and actress Kate Upton, best known as a 2011, 2012 and 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model, got her big break attending an Elite Model Management casting call in her home state of Florida, inking a deal with the agency that same day.

Relocating to New York City to further her industry career, Upton has modeled for campaigns for brands including Victoria’s Secret, Guess and Dooney & Bourke. She also appeared on the July 2012 cover of GQ magazine and in a raunchy viral video in which she dances to “Cat Daddy” by the Rej3tz.

Upton made her big screen acting debut in 2011’s Tower Heist, as Mr. Hightower’s mistress, and also appeared in 2012’s The Three Stooges. She is currently filming The Other Woman, alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann.

Upton started dating then Detroit Tigers (and now Houston Astros) baseball pitcher Justin Verlander in early 2014, and they were engaged in 2016. On November 4, 2017, the couple married in Tuscany, Italy. They have a daughter, Genevieve, who was born in November 2018, and a son, Bellamy, who arrived in June 2025.
