Carlos Pena, Jr.

Carlos PenaVega was born on August 15, 1989, in Columbia, Missouri, however he was primarily raised in Weston, Florida. In 2004, PenaVega scored his first acting role on ER, before later joining the boy band Big Time Rush in 2009 alongside Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson. The band starred on the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush from 2009 to 2013, achieving significant success including the release of multiple albums and world tours. Big Time Rush reunited in 2021 and have been touring ever since. In 2024, PenaVega announced his new band in addition to BTR, ANGELS + KINGS, with friend Alex Marshall.

Aside from his singing career, PenaVega has starred in several Hallmark films including 2017’s Enchanted Christmas and the Picture Perfect Mysteries series. He also appeared as a series regular in 2018’s Life Sentence. In addition to acting, PenaVega competed with Witney Carson on season 21 of Dancing With the Stars in 2015. He finished the competition in fourth place.

Carlos married Alexa PenaVega in 2014 and the couple went on to welcome sons Ocean and Kingston and daughter Rio, born in 2016, 2019, and 2021, respectively.
