Claire Holt

Claire Holt is an Australian actress best known for her roles on H2O: Just Add Water, The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Holt was raised in Australia and began pursuing acting full time after graduating high school.

Holt began her career starring as Emma Gilbert on the Australian teen series H2O: Just Add Water, which aired from 2006 to 2008. She left the show after its second season to make her film debut in Messengers 2: The Scarecrow (2009). In 2011, she signed on to The CW’s The Vampire Diaries as Rebekah Mikaelson. Her popularity on the show led to a main role on its spinoff The Originals, which premiered in 2013. She left the show as a regular after the first season but continued to make guest appearances until it ended in 2018. Her role as Rebekah was briefly reprised in the 2021 The Originals spinoff Legacies.

Throughout her career, the actress has appeared on shows such as Pretty Little Liars, Aquarius and Based on a True Story. Some of her notable film credits include Mean Girls 2 (2011) and 47 Meters Down (2017).

Holt married producer Matthew Kaplan in 2016, and the two divorced the following year. She moved on with real estate executive Andrew Joblon in 2018. The couple welcomed their first child, James, in 2019. They later welcomed daughter Elle (born in 2020) and son Ford (born in 2023).
