Devon Sawa

Devon Sawa is a Canadian actor known for his roles in Casper, Now and Then, Final Destination and the Chucky TV series. Sawa was born in Vancouver, Canada and developed an interest in acting at a young age. He began performing in school plays before transitioning into commercial work and landing small television roles.

After his first big screen role in the film Little Giants (1994), Sawa’s breakout came the following year when he played the human form of Casper in the 1995 film, followed by the role of Scott Wormer in Now and Then (1995). He gained teen heartthrob status with leading parts in movies such as Wild America (1997) and Idle Hands (1999) and later landed the role as Alex Browning in Final Destination (2000).

His other notable credits include SLC Punk! (1998), Slackers (2002), Extreme Ops (2002) and The Fanatic (2019). In 2021, he was announced as a cast member of Syfy’s Chucky series, on which he played multiple characters.

In 2025, the actor starred in the slasher film Heart Eyes, acting alongside Olivia Holt.

Sawa tied the knot with Dawni Sahanovitch, a Canadian producer, in 2013. The couple welcomed son Hudson in 2014 and daughter Scarlett in 2016.
