Dr. Dre (Andre Romelle Young) is a rapper, producer and entrepreneur widely known as a pioneering force in West Coast hip-hop and a cofounder of Beats Electronics. Born in Compton, California, he was raised in South Los Angeles. He attended Centennial High School and later transferred to Fremont High School. He began DJing during his teenage years, focusing on music full time after graduating.

Dre has won multiple Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of N.W.A.
