Dylan O’Brien is an American actor known for his dynamic performances in both television and film. O’Brien initially planned to attend Syracuse University as a sports broadcasting major but chose to pursue an acting career instead. O’Brien first rose to fame as Stiles Stilinski in MTV’s Teen Wolf (2011–2017).

O’Brien also starred as Thomas in the Maze Runner trilogy (2014–2018). He sustained serious injuries during a stunt on Maze Runner: The Death Cure in 2016, leading to a temporary hiatus from acting. Following his accident, O’Brien has been an advocate for on-set safety and has become more assertive in ensuring safe working conditions.

O’Brien went on to star in The Internship (2013), Deepwater Horizon (2016) and American Assassin (2017). O’Brien portrayed a young Dan Aykroyd in the film Saturday Night (2024), which explores the early days of Saturday Night Live.

O’Brien dated actress Britt Robertson from 2011 to 2018; they met on the set of The First Time. As of December 2024, O’Brien is reportedly single and maintains a private personal life.
