Francia Raisa

Born in Los Angeles, Francia Raisa started acting in her junior year of high school. Raisa appeared in music videos for Lil’ Romeo‘s “My Girlfriend” and Iyaz‘s “So Big” before booking a role in Bring It On: All or Nothing opposite Hayden Panettiere. For there, Raisa continued to be cast in movies such as Shredderman Rules and The Cutting Edge before her breakout role as Adrian on ABC Family’s hit series The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Raisa remained at ABC Family, which was rebranded as Freeform, with a starring role on the Black-ish spinoff Grown-ish. She appeared in the show’s first four seasons but exited Grown-ish as a main cast member after her character Ana graduated.

Raisa was cast in the How I Met Your Mother spinoff How I Met Your Father, which had a two-season run on Hulu. She also appeared in Life-Size 2 alongside Tyra Banks.

Offscreen, Raisa made headlines when she donated a kidney in 2017 to friend Selena Gomez, who was diagnosed with lupus.
