Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay is a celebrity chef and television personality known for Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, Kitchen Nightmares and his Michelin-starred restaurants. Ramsay was raised in England and originally pursued a career in professional soccer before a knee injury redirected his path. He studied hotel management at North Oxfordshire Technical College before training under renowned chefs in London and France.

Ramsay launched his first restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, in 1998 in London, which went on to earn three Michelin stars. He gained recognition for his bold style and high standards in the kitchen, leading to a career in television. He made his U.K. television debut with the documentary Boiling Point in 1999 and later broke into U.S. television with Hell’s Kitchen in 2005.

He has since built a global media and culinary empire with shows including MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, Hotel Hell, Next Level Chef and Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back. He owns and operates numerous restaurants worldwide and has earned multiple Michelin stars throughout his career.

Gordon married Tana Ramsay (née Hutcheson) in 1996. The couple has six children: Megan (born in 1998), twins Holly and Jack (born in 1999), Matilda (born in 2001), Oscar (born in 2019) and Jesse (born in 2023).
