Grant Show

Grant Show is an American actor known for his long-running television career including roles on Melrose Place and the CW’s Dynasty. Show was born in Detroit and raised in Northern California. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied theater arts. While at UCLA, he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and focused on developing his craft before pursuing acting professionally.

He began his career in daytime television, landing a role on Ryan’s Hope in the late 1980s. His performance earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination and helped establish him as a rising star. Show’s breakout came in 1992 when he was cast as Jake Hanson on Melrose Place, a role he played for five seasons, becoming one of the show’s central characters and a familiar face of 1990s primetime television.

Following his success on Melrose Place, Show continued working steadily across television, appearing on series including Six Feet Under, Devious Maids and Swingtown. From 2017 to 2022, he starred as Blake Carrington on The CW’s Dynasty reboot, introducing him to a new generation of viewers. He’s also appeared in a number of films, including Marmalade (2004), The Girl Next Door (2007) and Two Yellow Lines (2021).

Show married actress and model Pollyanna McIntosh in 2004, and the couple divorced in 2011. He later married actress Katherine LaNasa in 2012. They share one daughter, Eloise McCue Show (born in 2014).
