James Middleton

James Middleton is a British entrepreneur and the younger brother of Princess Kate Middleton. He was born in Reading, England, as the youngest child of Michael Middleton and Carole Middleton. He was educated at St Andrew’s School, Pangbourne, and later attended Marlborough College. He enrolled at the University of Edinburgh but later dropped out to pursue business.

James launched his career with a baking business, including cake-kit companies such as Nice Cakes and The Cake Kit Company. He went on to found Ella & Co (also styled James & Ella), a dog food company inspired by his own experience with his dog Ella. He has publicly shared his journey with depression and attention-deficit conditions and is an ambassador for the Pets As Therapy charity.

James was in a relationship with actress Donna Air from 2013 to 2018. He met French financial analyst Alizée Thevenet in 2018, and the two wed in 2021. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Inigo, in 2023.
