Joanna Gaines

Joanna Gaines (born Joanna Lee Stevens) is a television personality best known for hosting HGTV’s Fixer Upper alongside her husband, Chip Gaines. Joanna spent her childhood in Waco, Texas, and went on to attend Baylor University. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication in 2001.

Joanna married Chip in 2003 and, shortly after, the pair began flipping houses together. They went on to create the brand Magnolia, launching a lifestyle magazine called Magnolia Journal in 2016, a collection of home decor items sold at Target in 2017 and the Magnolia Network television channel in 2020.

The two pitched Fixer Upper to HGTV in 2013, and the first season aired the following year and ran until 2018. The couple revived the Fixer Upper series for their network, debuting Fixer Upper: Welcome Home in 2021, Fixer Upper: The Castle in 2022 and Fixer Upper: The Hotel in 2023.

Joanna and Chip share five children: Drake (born in 2005), Ella (born in 2006), Duke (born in 2008), Emmie (born in 2010) and Crew (born in 2018).
