
Jane Seymour
Jane Seymour (born Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg) is a Golden Globe-winning actress known for her roles in Live and Let Die (1973) and on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Seymour trained in ballet at the Arts Educational School in Hertfordshire before transitioning to acting.
Seymour made her film debut in Oh! What a Lovely War (1969) which was directed by her then father-in-law Richard Attenborough. She later acted alongside Winston Churchill in the film Young Winston (1972) before gaining international fame as Bond girl Solitaire in Live and Let Die (1973). She has also made appearances on East of Eden and War and Remembrance, the former of which earned the actress the 1982 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series.
In 1993, she became a household name as the lead in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, a role that earned her high acclaim and multiple Golden Globe nominations. Her other notable projects include Wedding Crashers (2005), The Kominsky Method and B Positive. From 2022 to 2024, she acted in the titular role on the crime thriller Harry Wild.
The Golden Globe winner has also penned multiple books and made her debut as an author with her 1986 memoir Jane Seymour’s Guide to Romantic Living.
She was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2000.
Seymour has been married four times. She was wed to Michael Attenborough from 1971 to 1973. Following their split, she married Geoffrey Planer in 1977, and they divorced in 1978.
In 1981, the actress tied the knot with David Flynn, and the pair welcomed children Katherine (born in 1982) and Sean (born in 1985) before their split in 1992. She wed James Keach the following year. The two share twins John and Kristopher (born in 1995). They separated in 2015. She confirmed her relationship with John Zambetti in 2023.
