Appearing alongside River Phoenix, Corey Feldman and Kiefer Sutherland in Stand By Me was certainly a career boost for New York native Jerry O’Connell.

On the heels of bit TV roles came larger film projects for O’Connell, including Jerry Maguire, Scream 2 and Can’t Hardly Wait.

As his name recognition increased, so did his workload, namely his stint on Sliders, on which he starred as Quinn Mallory. During his four year run, O’Connell was featured in nearly 70 episodes.

In the years since, the actor has been featured in a five-episode arc on Las Vegas and has settled into his current project, Crossing Jordan. Starring as Det. Woody Hoyt, O’Connell has been featured on the series for the past five years.

Currently married to actress Rebecca Romijn, O’Connell previously dated E! News anchor Giuiliana Rancic and was linked to Sarah Michelle Gellar.

O’Connell and Romijn welcomed twin daughters, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, in December 2008.
