About
Jim Parsons rose to fame playing the beloved Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory from 2007 to 2019. In 2018, he was the world’s highest-paid TV actor.
Parsons’ 12 seasons on the hit show earned him several awards including four Emmy Awards and one Golden Globe. He also was nominated for the 2024 Tony Awards for Best Featured Actor in a Play for Mother Play.
The actor’s additional credits include Hidden Figures, Home, The Normal Heart, The Boys in the Band, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, I Wish I Was Here and Young Sheldon — a prequel series to The Big Bang Theory, on which Parsons served as the narrator and executive producer.
Parsons has been married to his husband, Todd Spiewak, since 2017, and their wedding took place at the Rainbow Room in New York City. The couple first met in 2002 on a blind date.
