Joe Miñoso
Joe Miñoso fell in love with the theater in high school and graduated from Adelphi University with a degree in fine arts. He later got his master’s in fine arts from Northern Illinois University.
Miñoso worked in theater — mainly Chicago’s Teatro Vista — before crossing over to film and television. The actor made his TV debut with an episode of Prison Break in 2005, and five years later, he starred in the film Polish Bar. His biggest claim to fame is playing firefighter Joe Cruz on Chicago Fire. Miñoso has been part of the cast since the NBC drama’s 2012 premiere. He has also made appearances on Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med as the same character.
The One Chicago universe also brought Miñoso love when he met his now-wife Caitlin “Murphy” Miles, who worked as a makeup artist on the show. The pair wed in October 2016.
