Jonathan Scott

Jonathan Scott is one half of the home renovation duo from HGTV’s Property Brothers, which he co hosts alongside his twin brother, Drew. Raised in British Columbia, Jonathan developed an interest in real estate early on, and at 18, he and Drew purchased their first house near the University of Calgary, flipping student rentals for profit.

Though his initial passion was performing magic, Jonathan later shifted toward construction. He studied at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, focusing on construction and design, which prepared him to handle the contracting side of Property Brothers. The show debuted in 2011 and quickly gained popularity, spawning many spinoffs. The twins also run Scott Brothers Entertainment and Scott Living, a home decor brand.

In August 2023, Scott got engaged to actress Zooey Deschanel, whom he met in 2019 on Carpool Karaoke. He proposed during a family trip to Scotland with her children present.
