Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen (born Carlos Irwin Estévez) is a Golden Globe-winning actor and the son of actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton. Charlie was raised in Malibu, California, alongside siblings Emilio Estevez, Ramon Estevez and Renée Estevez. He attended Santa Monica High School but was expelled shortly before graduation.

Charlie began acting in the early 1980s and gained early recognition with roles in Red Dawn (1984) and Lucas (1986). He rose to fame after starring in Oliver Stone’s Platoon in 1986, gaining further attention with his performance in Wall Street (1987), in which he acted alongside his father. Known for both dramatic and comedic roles, the actor later appeared in films such as Young Guns (1988), Major League (1989) and Hot Shots! (1991).

In 2000, he replaced Michael J. Fox on Spin City, and this role earned him a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. He went on to star as Charlie Harper on CBS’s Two and a Half Men, which ran for eight seasons and made him one of the highest-paid actors on TV. After a highly publicized departure, he returned to TV with FX’s Anger Management, which aired from 2012 to 2014.

The Golden Globe winner also boasts appearances in a handful of music videos, and in 2020, he starred in the horror film Grizzly II: Revenge.

The actor has been married three times. He wed Donna Peele in 1995 and the couple divorced the following year. He was later wed to Denise Richards, and the pair welcomed daughters Sam (born in 2004) and Lola (born in 2005) before their split in 2006. He married Brooke Mueller in 2008, with whom he shares twin sons Bob and Max (born in 2009). The twosome parted ways in 2011. He also has a daughter, Cassandra (born in 1984), with ex-girlfriend Paula Profit.
