Lisa Marie Presley

Lisa Marie Presley was a singer-songwriter and the only child of music icon Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Lise Marie grew up between Graceland and Los Angeles following her parents’ divorce. She was left heir to the Presley estate following her father’s death in 1977. She attended several private schools throughout her childhood but did not attend college, focusing instead on pursuing a career in music.

Lisa Marie launched her music career in 2003 with the debut album To Whom It May Concern, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. She later released albums including Now What (2005) and Storm & Grace (2012), earning attention for songs like “Lights Out” and her blend of rock, country and blues influences.

In addition to her music, Presley frequently made headlines for her famous relationships. She was first wed to musician Danny Keough in 1988, with whom she shared daughter Riley Keough (born in 1989) and son Benjamin Keough (born in 1992), who died in 2020. She and Keough divorced in May 1994. Twenty days later, she wed Michael Jackson and they divorced in 1996. She was also married to Nicolas Cage from 2002 to 2004. In 2006, she tied the knot with guitarist Michael Lockwood. Presley and Lockwood welcomed twin daughters Harper and Finley in 2008 before their divorce in 2021.

Lisa Marie died on January 12, 2023, at age 54 after suffering cardiac arrest.
