Mary Elizabeth Winstead

After small parts on the TV shows Touched by an Angel and Promised Land, Winstead got her first steady acting gig with a regular role on the NBC daytime soap Passions in 1999. That gig led her to lead roles in the films Final Destination 3 and Black Christmas, which helped kick off her reputation as a scream queen of the silver screen.

Other horror movies on her filmography include Death Proof, The Thing and 10 Cloverfield Lane. In recent years, she has also appeared in the films Swiss Army Man and Gemini Man and has taken lead roles in the TV shows BrainDead, Mercy Street and Fargo.

In 2012, she and Dan the Automator formed the musical duo Got a Girl, and they released their debut album, I Love You but I Must Drive Off This Cliff Now, in 2014.

The North Carolina native was first linked to Fargo costar Ewan McGregor in October 2017, after the two were spotted kissing. McGregor filed for divorce from his wife, Eve Mavrakis, three months later in January 2018. Winstead and McGregor made their relationship public in the beginning of the same year.
