Matthew Fox
His lead role in Lost may have made him a household name, but Matthew Fox was already a heartthrob after making his 1994 debut as Charlie, the immature older brother who struggles as the new head of household, on the mid-90s drama Party of Five.
Born July 14, 1966, in Abington, Penn., Fox grew up on a cattle ranch in Wyoming. Fox is married to former Italian model Margherita Ronchi, who he met while he was a student at Columbia University pursuing an economics degree.
Fox’s career plans changed after his girlfriend’s mother, a modeling agent, suggested he give modeling a shot. This led to a slew of minor spots on TV shows like Wings, Freshman Dorm and the movie Behind the Mask. Following his six year stint on Party of Five, Fox returned to the spotlight in 2004 after auditioning for the role of Sawyer on Lost. The actor was later cast as surgeon Jack Shephard, and went on to appear on the ABC series until the end of its run in 2010.
After Lost wrapped in the spring of 2010, Fox declared that he was done with TV and would relocate his family, which includes his two children, from Hawaii where the series filmed, to Oregon.
