Michael Angarano

Michael Angarano is an Emmy-nominated actor known for his roles in Sky High, This Is Us and The Forbidden Kingdom. Angarano was born in New York and later moved to Los Angeles, where he attended Crespi Carmelite High School. He began pursuing a career in acting shortly after moving.

Angarano started working in film and television in the mid-1990s, landing small roles in shows like Cybill and New York News. After appearing in films such as Almost Famous (2000) and Little Secrets (2001), his breakthrough came in 2005 when he starred as Will Stronghold in Disney’s Sky High.

He earned critical recognition for his work on Steven Soderbergh’s The Knick, in which he played Dr. Bertie Chickering Jr. In 2019, he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Nick Pearson on This Is Us. His other notable credits include I’m Dying Up Here, Will & Grace and Oppenheimer (2023).

Angarano dated his Speak costar actress Kristen Stewart from 2005 to 2009 and was later in a relationship with his Brass Teapot castmate Juno Temple from 2013 to 2016. He began dating Maya Erskine in 2019. The couple got engaged in 2020, married in 2023 and share two children: a son born in 2021 and a daughter born in 2024.
