Pauley Perrette

Pauley Perrette is an actress known for her role as Abby Sciuto on NCIS. She studied criminal justice at Valdosta State University and earned her master’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. She worked various jobs in NYC, including as a bartender and cook, before a casting director encouraged her to move to Los Angeles, where she found success as an actress. She appeared in shows and films such as 24, The Ring and Almost Famous.

Perrette joined the cast of NCIS in 2003, portraying Abby Scuito until 2019. She also appeared in NCIS spinoffs, including NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Los Angeles, and was nominated for multiple People’s Choice Awards.

In 2017, Perrette left NCIS, initially withholding her reasons. However, in 2018, she alleged on Twitter that her departure was due to “multiple assaults” involving costar Mark Harmon.

Perrette was married to actor and musician Coyote Shivers from 2000 to 2006 and later claimed that he subjected her to physical, emotional and sexual abuse. In 2021, three years after leaving NCIS, Perrette suffered from a massive stroke but has since made full recovery.

In 2024, Perrette announced that she was done with acting and instead focused on making documentaries.
