Ryan Murphy is a successful American television and film director, producer and screenwriter. He is known for creating popular and critically-acclaimed shows such as Nip/Tuck, Glee, Pose and American Horror Story. Murphy is also known for his work in the LGBTQ+ community and has been a vocal advocate for their rights.
Murphy has won numerous awards for his work, including multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards. He has been recognized for his contributions to the entertainment industry with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He won his first Tony Award in 2019 when The Boys in the Band, which he produced, won Best Revival of a Play.
In his personal life, Murphy has been in a long-term relationship with David Miller since 1996. They married in 2012 and share three sons, Logan (born 2012), Ford (born 2014) and Griffin (born 2020).
