Sam Claflin

Sam Claflin is a British actor known for his roles in The Hunger Games series, Me Before You and Daisy Jones & The Six. Claflin was born in Suffolk, England, where he played soccer as a teen before an injury shifted his focus to acting. He studied performing arts at Norwich City College, then graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2009.

He made his acting debut in 2010 in the miniseries The Pillars of the Earth. His film breakthrough came in 2011 as the missionary Philip Swift in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. He later starred in Snow White and the Huntsman (2013) and gained international recognition playing Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2015) and its sequels.

Some of his later film projects include Me Before You (2016), Book of Love (2022) and All the Devils Are Here (2025). In 2023, he joined the cast of the Amazon Prime series Daisy Jones & The Six, earning him critical praise for his role as Billy Dunne. The show has received multiple Emmy nominations, including the nomination for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

Claflin married actress Laura Haddock in 2013. They welcomed a son in 2015 and a daughter in 2018 before announcing their separation in 2019. He later moved on with model Cassie Amato from 2022 to 2024.
