Sharon Stone

Sharon Stone is an Oscar-nominated actress and producer. Stone spent her childhood in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and skipped ahead in school, enrolling at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at age 15. She initially studied creative writing and fine arts before leaving college to pursue modeling.

Stone began her career as a model in New York before transitioning to acting in the early 1980s. She landed minor roles in films like Stardust Memories (1980) and Deadly Blessing (1981) before securing a part in Total Recall (1990) opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. Her career skyrocketed after starring as Catherine Tramell in Basic Instinct (1992), a role that made her a household name.

She continued to build her career with films such as Sliver (1993), The Quick and the Dead (1995) and Casino (1995), the latter earning her an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe win. Other notable projects include The Muse (1999), Broken Flowers (2005) and Beauty (2022).

The actress has also made multiple television appearances over the years, starring on shows such as Will & Grace, Murderville and Ratched.

Stone was married to Michael Greenburg from 1984 to 1990. Following their split, she went on to wed Phil Bronstein in 1998 before divorcing in 2004. She has three adopted sons: Roan (born in 2000), Laird (born in 2005) and Quinn (born in 2006).
