About

Sia, full name Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer known for making chart-topping hits such as “Chandelier” and “Cheap Thrills.” The singer spent her childhood in Australia and was involved in music from a young age. After graduating from Adelaide High School, she briefly attended the University of Adelaide but left to pursue music.

Sia began her career as a vocalist for the acid jazz band Crisp before releasing her debut solo album, OnlySee, in 1997. She later moved to the U.K., where she joined the band Zero 7 and gained recognition for her guest vocals. After signing with a major label, she released Colour the Small One (2004), which featured “Breathe Me,” the song that skyrocketed her popularity after being used on HBO’s Six Feet Under.

She went on to write and produce for artists like Rihanna, Beyoncé and Katy Perry while simultaneously releasing her own music. Her 2014 album 1000 Forms of Fear debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the breakthrough hit “Chandelier,” which earned four Grammy nominations. She followed with This Is Acting and Everyday Is Christmas and made her directorial debut with the 2021 film Music.

The singer released her tenth studio album Reasonable Woman in 2024.

Sia married documentary filmmaker Erik Anders Lang in 2014, and the couple split in 2016.

After her divorce, the Grammy nominee revealed she adopted two teenage sons in 2019.

In May 2023, Sia wed Dan Bernard, but she filed for divorce in March 2025 due to “irreconcilable differences.” Court documents revealed the couple share a child born in April 2024.
